2022 Cadillac XT4

The entry-level XT4 is the Luxury. It has 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, LED taillights, acoustic-laminated front windshield glass, and a power liftgate. The Premium Luxury adds to this with a hands-free liftgate, and it offers a sunroof as an option. The Sport is up next with its red brake calipers and body-colored exterior trim elements. This trim also offers a sport-tuned suspension as an option, and you can get it with 20-inch wheels.

All three XT4 models get power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 235 horsepower. It quickly accelerates, getting up to 60 mph in just over seven seconds. It works with Cadillac's nine-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive. All trims offer all-wheel drive as an option.

The four-cylinder has plenty of power to propel the small XT4 around town, and it will quickly get up to cruising speed when you need to merge on the highway. The responsive steering system makes it easy to maneuver, and it has one of the firmest and quick-stopping braking systems in its class.

Inside, the XT4 has room for up to five people. The base Luxury trim has simulated leather upholstery, while the top two trims have genuine leather. Dual-zone automatic climate control comes standard, and all models have power-adjustable front seats. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are available with the Cold Weather Package for any trim. The Premium Luxury also offers the Comfort and Convenience Package with massaging and ventilated front seats.

Even the base XT4 comes standard with an 8-inch touch screen, a seven-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a USB-A port, a USB-C port, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Satellite radio also comes standard, and the voice recognition system uses natural voice. An upgraded Bose stereo system is an available option. Adding the Technology Package to the Premium Luxury comes with wireless phone charging and a head-up display.

The 2022 Cadillac XT4 comes loaded with standard and available safety technology. Every trim has forward collision warning with automatic braking and a rearview camera. Adding the Driver Awareness Package to the Luxury gets you a following distance indicator and lane-keep assist, and stepping up to the Premium Luxury adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. The Driver Assistance Package for the Premium Luxury comes with adaptive cruise control and reverse emergency braking.

The optional Enhanced Visibility Package comes with even more driver aids. Adding gets you rear pedestrian alert, a digital rearview mirror, a surround-view camera system, and an automatic parking assist system.
