2022 Cadillac XT5

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is a midsize SUV offered in three base trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. Standard exterior features with the base Luxury trim include a power-operated liftgate, 18-inch wheels, and LED front lighting.

Stepping up to the Premium Luxury trim tacks on automatic windshield wipers, a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming and power-folding side mirrors, and hands-free functionality for the liftgate. Both engines work with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard for the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims, and all-wheel drive is available. All-wheel drive comes standard on the Sport trim.

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 delivers a smooth and comfortable ride, and the Sport trim has an upgraded suspension. In speed testing, a model equipped with the V-6 engine went from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds. Body roll is minimal when you navigate around turns, and the transmission shifts efficiently in everyday driving. If you plan to tow heavy loads with your SUV, consider the available Smart Towing package with the Premium Luxury trim. It includes the upgraded V-6 engine, a hitch guidance camera system, a seven-pin wiring harness, and a heavy-duty cooling system.

This midsize SUV has a spacious cabin with two comfortable rows of seating. Standard interior features include dual-zone automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, heated and power front seats, Remote Start with proximity keyless entry, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, an 8-inch touch screen, and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. Enhancements on the Premium Luxury trim include leather upholstery, wireless device charging, and a power-adjustable and heated steering wheel. You can add options like upgraded leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, an upgraded sound system, integrated navigation, and heated rear seats.

The 2022 XT5 comes with a suite of active driver aids, including front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking. The Premium Luxury trim adds blind-spot monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert. You can add the Technology Package to the Premium Luxury and Sport trims to get a 360-degree camera system, a Head-Up Display, and automated parking functionality. Another option is the Driver Assist Package, which bundles the options in the Technology Package with Reverse Automatic Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.
