2021 Cadillac Escalade in Topeka, KS - Cable Dahmer Cadillac Topeka

The next-generation Escalade arrives with some significant updates and changes. It has a new exterior look that brings in some elements from the Escala sedan concept vehicle, and it has a new independent rear suspension that improves handling and ride quality. Upgrades to the interior include new materials that make it even more luxurious, and it has a new massive OLED infotainment screen. Take a look at the updated 2021 Escalade.

The Exterior Look

The new Escalade still has the iconic vertically oriented taillights, but design changes to the side panels and the molding give it a sleeker look that is less blocky than before. Cadillac mounted a signature crest on the back of the infotainment screen, which will light up when the driver approaches and added additional Cadillac crests both inside and out.

Cadillac now offers the Escalade in a luxury and sport model for each trim. The Luxury models have a sophisticated look with chrome trim elements, and the Sport models have blacked out elements for a bolder look.

The Power

The new standard engine for the 2021 Escalade is a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. An optional 3.0-liter Duramax six-cylinder turbodiesel will come later in the model year. This new powertrain generates 277 horsepower and gets 460 pound-feet of torque. Both the gas and diesel engines work with a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for manual gear selection.

The Technology

The big news for tech in the 2021 Escalade is the curved OLED screen. The huge screen features 38 inches of diagonal display with bright colors and high contrasts that make it easy to see and read. The thin screen curves around the driver, providing better visibility. 16.9-inches of the screen sits in the center console and houses the infotainment system. This is the display for the navigation system, the heating and air conditioning settings, and it has the controls for the stereo system. The infotainment system is a touch screen, but you can also operate it with a controller in the center console.

The updated navigation system helps drivers find their way by overlaying the road navigation graphics with live street views, and it uses a pin on the camera to provide the exact location of your destination.

The Cabin

Changes in the 2021 Escalade’s cabin include moving the shifter from the steering column down to the center console. There are now eight different cabin trims to choose from and three interior colors for the Platinum model. The Escalade has three rows of seats, and changes in the cabin include upgraded second-row seats that are now just as plush and comfortable as the front row. The third row has more space than the previous generation Escalades. Additional upgrades to the 2021 model include ambient lighting in the cabin, soft closing doors, and the option to add a refrigerator/freezer.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is not only bigger and better; it comes with more standard equipment than ever. This luxury SUV is the ultimate cruiser for any family and be sure to visit us at Cable Dahmer Cadillac Topeka in Topeka, KS for more information about this highly anticipated SUV release!
