Meet Cindy! In late March, Cindy visited Cable Dahmer Cadillac Topeka in Topeka, KS, and joined forces with Marty, one of our salespeople, to find a new Cadillac. After searching for a couple weeks, they found the perfect 2021 Cadillac XT4 and Cindy drove off in her new vehicle. About a week later, Cindy was on her way to Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, KS, when she heard a large pop and the rear tire pressure started dropping. Luckily, Cindy was close to the store and she pulled into the parking lot. She called Marty to see what the tire pressure is supposed to be and to tell him what happened. It was getting late on a Friday night so most service shops were closing for the night. Cindy found out she’d have to wait until the morning to get her Cadillac towed into a shop in Kansas City. She called Marty to give him an update and Marty jumped in to help. Marty and Chris, one of our sales managers, tracked down a spare tire that fit Cindy’s Cadillac and Marty headed to Kansas City with the spare in tow. As Cindy finished up shopping, Marty replaced the damaged tire in the parking lot and packed up the flat into his vehicle to take in to our service department the next morning. Cindy headed back home to Topeka with Marty following to make sure nothing else happened. The next day, our service team found a new tire to replace the spare and ordered it for Cindy. Within a few days, the tire came in and Cindy's Cadillac was back to brand new. It was an eventful Friday night and we’re honored that Cindy could count on Marty and Cable Dahmer Cadillac Topeka to help out. Monday, February 1, 2021 Today, GM released a statement to their dealers and service providers regarding the iOS 14 update solving consumer issues with wireless charging, with the myCadillac app, and with Wi-Fi ® network security notifications appearing on connected device. GM states the Wi-Fi ® network security notification has occurred in "older vehicle models" when the customer tries to connect to their vehicle's 4G LTE Wi-Fi ® Hotspot and receive a "'weak security' message next to their vehicle's Wi-Fi ® network name on their device . . . Nevertheless, customers are still able to connect to a Wi-Fi ® Hotspot in a secure manner in their vehicle." The iOS 14 update should simply eliminate the message that customers have been seeing next to the network name on their device. We encourage all customers to update their Apple ® iPhone ® device to at least the iOS 14 operating system. The next-generation Escalade arrives with some significant updates and changes. It has a new exterior look that brings in some elements from the Escala sedan concept vehicle, and it has a new independent rear suspension that improves handling and ride quality. Entrance to the museum is $9 for adults and kids, $8 for seniors 65 and older, and free for infants 12 months and younger. During the school year, the museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. In the summer months, the museum opens at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. 3. Ward Meade Park Ward Meade Park is a 6-acre park that was once a family farm on the Oregon Trail. In the park, you'll find an early 20th-century town, a Southern-style mansion, gardens, and historical log cabins. You can visit the old town's Mulvane General Store Visitors Center & Gift Shop, Potwin Drug Store with an operating soda fountain, and more for free. Some of the town's other structures offer tours costing $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. The general store and drug store are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The park grounds are open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. every day. 4.
